Ensemble Modèle Réduit
My 'instrument' with the Ensemble Modèle Réduit is the laptop, the live electronics. My long-standing interest in feedback processes, originally inspired by Alvin Lucier's "I'am sitting in a room" has led to a Max/MSP patch with which I record the ensemble and then return what I have recorded (electronically processed) to the process, a kind of musical "autologous blood therapy" that stabilizes the respective content in a certain way, makes the development process more sustainable, 'recycles' complaints, introduces an ecological aspect. EMR, with its preoccupation with indeterminate scores and improvisation, is for me the ideal ensemble to apply this process, which has been (further) developed over the years.
